Born and raised in Lafayette Indiana. I am a 1991 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. After graduation, I attended Purdue University off and on while working numerous jobs to support myself. I am a few credit hours short of my degree in Law and Society which I plan on finishing in the future. I met my wife of 23 years while attending Purdue and she is a special education teacher for the Tippecanoe School Corporation. I began in law enforcement in 1997 as a Corrections Officer with the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office. In 1999 I became a Deputy with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office. In January of 2002 I came back home to Tippecanoe County and became a Deputy with the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office. I became a detective in 2003 and began a career of investigating criminal activity, interviewing child abuse victims, and learning computer forensics. I was promoted to Sergeant of Detectives and later Lieutenant of Detectives. In 2018 I was elected Sheriff of Tippecanoe County which is the current position I hold. I love cooking bbq, competitively fishing for bass from a kayak, playing video games, the beach, all sports, and being outdoors.
