Rebecca Lamar-Jackson

Rebecca Lamar Ed. S., has more than 25 years of experience in education. Rebecca is a bilingual Native oral storyteller for children and adults. She focuses her storytelling from her roots, pulling myths and legends from the indigenous peoples of the Americas, Africa and the Caribbean. Her commitment to the community involves supporting the arts, social justice and change and cultural celebrations. Specializing in early childhood education, Rebecca has worked at the state and national level of early childhood education workforce initiatives. She has taught at multiple institutions of higher education and presented at national, regional and state conferences focused on ECE in both English and Spanish. Her positions have span from non-profit support and management to corporate training and state level policy implementation, offering many supports to the Latino/a/x ECE professionals and supporting entities in their professional development in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. Rebecca Lamar is an author, artist, activist, curator and storyteller. Living in community within Philadelphia, Rebecca focuses efforts on education of young children/teachers, and producing art/opportunities for all to find their place and peace within the community, the world and ART around them.
