Mark Morton

Mark Morton is the author of four nonfiction books about topics such as language, food culture, and history, as well as a YA dystopian novel. He has also written 50+ columns for Gastronomica: The Journal of Food and Culture (University of California Press) and written and broadcast 100+ columns about language and culture for CBC One, Canada’s national radio broadcaster. He co-founded the Winnipeg International Writers Festival. Mark received his PhD in sixteenth-century English Literature from the University of Toronto, and currently works in the Centre for Teaching Excellence at the University of Waterloo.
