Sarah Van Mantgem
Sarah resides in Windsor, California, with her husband of 25 years, her 3 rescue rabbits, and an adopted stray cat. [Sarah has rescued many domestic and wild animals over the years in non-agricultural settings, and is passionate about the humane treatment of all beings. She is currently a volunteer animal rights activist and advocate, and co-founder of FACES of Sonoma County (Farm Animal, Climate and Environmental Stewards), one of the founders partners of the ballot measure to end factory farming in Sonoma County. In 2003 Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and Planning from Sonoma State University and worked as an energy efficiency consultant around the issue of Urban Heat Island mitigation. She is also a former high school science teacher.
