Mike Farrell, former Marine and president of Death Penalty Focus is a political and social activist best known for his portrayal of Army Capt. B.J. Hunnicutt in the TV-series M*A*S*H and as Dr. Jim Hansen in the NBC TV series Providence. Actively involved in many organizations dealing with spousal & child abuse, veterans rights, animal welfare & the environment, he is also a spokesperson for CONCERN/America, an international refugee aid & development organization where he has visited refugee camps in Asia & Central America to disseminate information about the organization’s work across the globe. Mike served as an officer of the Screen Actors Guild, on the CA State Commission on Judicial Performance, on the board of directors of the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty and is the former co-chair of the California Committee of Human Rights Watch. He is a published author with two books, Just Call Me Mike and Of Mule and Man, and is a popular speaker on human rights issues.
