But, Lois refused to believe that he was doomed. With a background in education, she developed creative ways to make learning fun for him. Gradually, he not only caught up to his peers, he ultimately received a scholarship to Oxford and earned a doctorate in mathematics. Then he earned a Masters in health economics. Today, Ms. Letchford shares her personal journey with Nicholas and the challenges she helped him overcome. Her inspirational story can also be found in her book, Reversed: A Memoir.
