Here we are in 2020, in the midst of catastrophic climate changes, a pandemic of a virus transferred to humans from wildlife, and political machinations that remove underpinnings of environmental protections. New CITES CoP18 regulations were supposedly responses to these crises, however, we now see whole system failures.
