I had just started my agency a few months ago and engaged a rather boisterous and overbearing Co-Partner who sat down with me and informed me about IRC 125. There began a journey, largely at his lead and direction that ended up securing 5 out of the then BIG 8 Public Accounting firms, with names such as Arthur Young, Arthur Andersen (No Longer There a Casualty of Enron) etc. My agency was in a direct referral relationship with these prestigious firms to implement and administer Section 125 of Internal Revenue Code, which at that time was a saving grace that enabled both the Employer and the Employee to recapture both Hard Dollar Cost Expenses, including insurances and payroll expenses and the employee resulting in having MORE TAKE HOME PAYOLA! . . . and all of these with the blessing of the IRS! We now hit the lever of our time machine and return to the year 2022 and years have now passed since those days and have now largely faded from my memory and most importantly from the realm of the Small Business Community . . . until today! You see, your larger companies jumped all over this because it meant MILLIONS of found dollars back in their Corporate Coffers and a smiling workforce as well. Small Businesses were largely overlooked due to their reduced size and the prohibitive costs of administration and implementation.
