The Feast of St. Agatha is the most important religious festival in the city of Catania in Sicily. The event is held every year between February 3rd and 5th, and again on August 17. Between three to six thousand people arrive in Catania for the festival and during the course of the year, its history attracts up to almost one million devotees from Italy and abroad.
