Donna Schempp is the program director at Family Caregiver Alliance. It’s a non-profit organization that helps family caregivers to get respite, and support for their caregiving roles. It serves people with chronic illnesses, such as Alzheimer’s disease, MS, Parkinson’s disease, and stroke, as well as caregivers of frail elders. Prior to joining it, she worked with Kaiser to increase use of community organizations by Kaiser patients. She was also senior case manager at Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the East Bay.
