The program is divided into three modules that build upon another. In Module One we want our participants to first understand that they have culture; Learning that culture is not something they are born with but is something that is learned through imitation and teaching. Linda Edwards is the Director of Community Outreach for Public Partnership and Outreach at Texas A&M University. She is responsible for developing and coordinating community and international outreach efforts for Texas A&M University and the coordination, implementation and management of the Community of Respect Program. Ms. Edwards is a member of the original steering committee for the Community of Respect intercultural training program created in 2005 and a member of the curriculum development team.
