Chicano/Native activist Albino Garcia founded the grassroots organization La Plazita Institute located in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2004. He is a Kellogg Fellow and Ceremonial Chief in the Lakota tradition. Mr. Garcia is of Apache and Chichimeca heritage.
