Dr. Craig J. Bryan, PsyD, ABPP, is a board-certified clinical psychologist in cognitive behavioral psychology, and is currently the Associate Director of the National Center for Veterans Studies at the University of Utah. He was Chief of the Primary Care Psychology Service and the Suicide Prevention Program Manager for Lackland AFB. Dr. Bryan deployed to Iraq in 2009, where he served as the Director of the Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic at the Air Force Theater Hospital. Jim Holbrook

Jim Holbrook is a clinical professor of law at the University of Utah where he teaches negotiation, mediation, and arbitration. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was sent to Vietnam where he fought in combat in 1969 as an artillery NCO in the 9th Infantry Division in the Mekong Delta. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal for Valor. As part of what he calls his “karmic journey,” he taught mediation in India in 2007 and 2010. In 2009, he spent three months in Baghdad managing his law school’s project, which provided legal assistance to the government and judiciary of Iraq. His writings about war and killing have been published in: War Sketches and Reports from Baghdad
