At 59 years of age, Libby Embry was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Two years earlier, she was named the Regional Teacher of the Year for her work in developing advanced English classes in the middle school where she taught. Today Libby is an energetic voice on behalf of persons who have developed Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. She has served on the Alzheimer Association Early Stage Advisory Group and has spoken nationally on clinical, research, and advocacy issues regarding the disorder. She is moving, engaging, and challenging! You will be inspired.
