Phil Cantor

Since 1988, Phil Cantor has covered stories while working in 5 different television markets in the U.S.. Phil has won awards in Producing and Photography with the Associated Press, Georgia Association of Broadcasters, Society of Professional Journalists, The National Press Photographers Association and has received Emmy nominations. Charles Davis

Charles Davis joined NFL Network as a college football analyst in 2006. He is currently an analyst on NFL Total Access. This season, Davis can also be found in the booth as a game analyst for the NFL on FOX alongside Dick Stockton and Jim Mora and as a host on SEC Gridiron Live on Fox Sports South. Davis' expertise is featured within NFL Network's exclusive coverage of the Under Armour Senior Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine. Following the NFL Scouting Combine, Davis is an analyst on Path to the Draft, which provides in-depth analysis on prospective draft choices and a look at each NFL team's needs during the off-season with host Paul Burmeister and Mike Mayock. From 2007-2009, Davis was an analyst on the NFL Network's College Football Now, a show that brought fans a daily dose of college football highlights, news and analysis. In addition to his duties in studio at NFL Network, Davis also served as a game analyst for NFL Network's broadcasts of the 2007 Texas Bowl and the Under Armour Senior Bowl the past three years. From 2007-2008, Davis served as analyst for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers preseason schedule. From 2007-2009, Davis served as the lead analyst for the Big Ten Network and FOX Sports BCS broadcast teams. Davis provided analysis on the BCS National Championship games from 2007-2009 and some of the most exciting matchups in recent college football history. Such games include Florida's 2009 title win over Oklahoma, Boise State's overtime win against Oklahoma at the 2007 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl and Appalachian State's stunning upset over Michigan in the Wolverines' 2007 home opener. Before Davis joined FOX Sports in December of 2006, he served as the lead college football analyst at TBS for five years. Throughout his career, Davis has served as an analyst for college football, Arena League Football, basketball, baseball and golf for ESPN, CBS, NBC, FOX, The Golf Channel, TBS, TNT, and the Sun Sports Network. Davis, a four-year starting defensive back for Tennessee (1983-86), led the Volunteers to four straight bowl appearances and was a member of the Academic All-SEC Team. After graduation, Davis was an assistant coach at the University of Pacific before moving into athletic administration where he worked as an assistant athletic director at Stanford University. Davis' broadcasting and college athletic accolades have led to a variety of honors in recent years. In 2009, he earned the ‘Accomplished Alumni Award' from the University of Tennessee Alumni Association and was honored with distinction by the Florida High School Athletic Association. In 2008, Davis was a featured ‘Story of Character' by Tennessee and the Southeastern Conference during the SEC's 75th anniversary celebration and was honored as one of the top 50 athletes in the last 50 years in the tri-county area by the Middletown Record in New York. He also served as the featured speaker for the Sun Bowl Committee Award Meetings in 2007. A native of New Paltz, New York, Davis currently resides in Orlando, Fla. with his wife, Lisa, his daughter, Taylor and son, Parker. View Guest page

SportsTalk at the PositivePub creates an empowering message for sports fans and non-sports fans alike. We examine sports from a positive, historical, and philosophical perspective. It’s a show that will be caller and interview driven. There will be no negative rants or personal attacks. It provides an outlet for you to express your passion, opinions, and solutions through constructive dialogue. We want to create a healthy conversation through the means of internet radio, social networking, and other technological aspects of an ever changing medium. The show will also provide a news making component. This will not be a show that is slanted or is misrepresented. This program will also promote the positive values of athletes through their foundations and faith based community initiatives. Gil Tyree

Emmy-award winning TV sportscaster Gil Tyree’s experience includes the NCAA Final Four, Super Bowl XXX, Olympic Features, NASCAR, NBA, MLB, NFL, SEC, NHL, and the Bowl Championship Series. Currently Gil hosts the Georgia Public Broadcasting’s Sports Central show that provides in-depth coverage of Georgia high school football. Gil is also the host for the Texas Pete Hot Sauce Flavor of Football tour, which visits college campuses across the country. Gil has done extensive radio work including contributing to ESPN Radio’s Game Night show.

His community involvement included forming a 100-person plus bike team that raised more than $200,000 for the National MS Society, and founding member of the Arizona Association of Black Journalists. Gil also hosts the 100% Wrong Clubs annual sports banquet in Atlanta, celebrating black college sports.

Gil has participated in hundreds of fundraising dinners and events for organizations such as Upward Bound, the Special Olympics, the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University, and mentoring programs at the University of Arizona, University of Georgia, and the Mesa, Arizona-based Friends of the Library. He has hosted telethons for the United Negro College Fund and has helped in fundraising events for the Urban League, the Sullivan Foundations Haitian earthquake relief drive, and the United Blood Services. He also served as the emcee for the Grand Canyon State Games and Special Olympics.
