Ron Paolucci, who started going to the races as a child got into racing with a $3,500 claiming horse and through his handicapping climbed up the claiming ladder, graduation to allowance and eventually stakes horses in the Ohio-bred program.
Ron now plays the game at it's highest level and will be participating in the $16 million Pegasus Stakes with two horses. It's a complicated story as he may work out a lease agreement with the connections of Sharp Azteca and he will enter his own War Story, who finished fourth in the Breeders' Cup Classic.
