Episode Description

In this episode, we chat with Australian Army Survival Instructor Gordon Dedman who talks to us about the subjects of wilderness Bushcraft and Survival and their relevance in today’s modern society. Bushcraft is a massive grouping of skills and knowledge which encompasses botany, butchery, campcraft, cookery, craftwork skills, firecraft, fishing, hunting, mycology, navigation, outdoor safety, tracking, trapping, wood carving, zoology and much more. Gordon tells us of five to ten essential everyday items that we all use and take for granted everyday that we should have with us, not only when we venture into wild remote places but on casual day outings and trips into familiar places. Having knowledge of what these basic essential items are also gives you an understanding of what you will need to manufacture from nature if you don’t have them. This is a "must listen" show if you endeavor to be a weekend warrior for the outdoors!

The Compassionate Samurai Business Hour

Thursday at 1 PM Pacific Time on VoiceAmerica Business Channel

Success and integrity are not mutually exclusive, which is the foundation for The Compassionate Samurai Business Hour. Blending a warrior-like mindset with character traits of compassion in order to produce extraordinary results is key. Business often produces two types of leaders. The first are those who are nice, good-hearted, and compassionate, but can’t make much happen. The other type can make everything happen, they are creators, go-getters, and the aggressive producers in society. However, they’re often self-centered, greedy and unethical. Both the show host and guests share stories and tools for overcoming obstacles and provide wise short cuts for producing key sustainable results in business. You will discover unique roadmaps for producing a large amount of sustainable change in a short period of time. You will take lifelong learning to a whole new level where the important questions are asked and only you hold the answer to just how high you’re committed to climb.
