Episode Description

Have you ever needed to locate a government or a social service agency? Of course you have. Like most people you started with a google search which narrowed your list to about 500. Then you did a more detailed google search which may have gotten the list down to 100. After you click through enough links to make you blind, you start to call. You listen to voice mail messages with 14 options and wait on hold forever. You finally speak to a human who tells you, “I’m sorry that is not our department” and hangs up. Fortunately, the State of Arizona, which is home to 600,000 plus veterans, took a very proactive, hands on approach. Arizona started the Coalition for Military Families. They designed and developed "Be Connected which is one of the most complete and comprehensive programs in the country. I attended one of their training and for someone who is not easily impressed, I was completely “blown away.” Listen as Kelly Anne Wilde explains this amazing program.

Everyone has those AHA moments or events that change our lives for better or worse. These life altering events occur in every aspect of our professional, personal, and in the lives of our family. Try as we may, it is impossible to completely separate the events in our personal life from our professional life. Believe me, I tried and failed miserably. Life altering events present us with opportunities to seize the moment and make difference in our own life, the lives of our loved one, friends and business associates. They also can be a fork in the road where we can fall apart or pick up the pieces and start moving forward toward better times and better people. It is never too late to have the life you want and deserve. Let’s talk about it.
