This program is refreshingly different from other personal finance shows. Host J.R. Robinson is not on the air to promote DIY books or get-rich-quick schemes nor is looking for new clients for his financial planning practice. His sole purpose is to provide consumers with unvarnished insight into how the investment world and the financial planning industry really work. In this inaugural episode, J.R. seeks to engage listeners with real-life anecdotes from his professional experience as he lays the foundation for future episodes. His passion for financial planning will be obvious and his positions on various trending personal finance topics are both well-supported and unambiguous.

My Two Cents is a unique personal finance program that seeks to educate and engage consumers about trending topics in financial planning. Our host, J.R. Robinson, has a penchant for providing research-supported opinions that look beyond the media hype and advertising propaganda in an effort to inform listeners and clear up popular misperceptions.
Jessica Lani Rich adds her experience as a longtime media host and expert interviewer and will provide additional thought-provoking commentary. J.R.’s charismatic sometimes edgy commentary sprinkled with entertaining anecdotes from his professional experience paired with Jessica’s conversational skills makes for a lively and refreshing personal finance program.

John (J.R.) Robinson is the founder of Honolulu-based Financial Planning Hawaii and a co-founder of software maker Nest Egg Guru. J.R. has published numerous peer-reviewed journal papers, including three award winning papers on retirement income sustainability. He has written dozens of articles and op-ed contributions on a wide range of financial planning topics, and his commentary is regularly featured in the national financial news media. He has twice been included on Investopedia’s list of the top 100 most influential financial advisors in the U.S.
Jessica Lani Rich is the President and CEO of Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) and Travelers Aid of Honolulu. She is the Producer and Host of a television program, “Inspire You and Me,” which is seen statewide. She was formerly a personality and News Director with KUMU and KPOI radio stations in Honolulu. She is also a published author with her book, "Gift of Hawaii, Island Inspirations."
