A Parental Perspective; Becoming an Advocate.
June 26, 2012
Hosted by Rob Haupt
In this episode of Autism Spectrum Radio we are looking forward to discussing a central topic of autism therapy, the role of parents as advocates for their children. Over the course of a child with autism’s life they will encounter any number of experts; from doctors to teachers and therapists to councilors, however in the end, it is Parents that understand the needs and requirements of their children better than anyone. In this episode Dr. Bill is excited to provide some tips and guidance on how parents can embrace and excel in the role of advocate for their child. We are also very pleased to welcome Whitney Pinion to the show this week. Whitney is the mother of a son with autism and a member of the Autism Society of Boulder, Colorado Executive Board. Be sure to catch this episode of Autism Spectrum Radio, Tuesday, June 26th at 11 AM.
