Kathryn interviews journalist and award-winning TV host Michaela Haas PhD, author of “Bouncing Forward: Transforming Bad Breaks into Breakthroughs”. Eighty-nine percent of Americans experience at least one traumatic event in their lifetime. Dr. Haas explores the revolutionary scientific research of posttraumatic growth through the transformative, uplifting stories of many famous and recognizable names, including one of the last interviews with the late Dr. Maya Angelou.
Kathryn also interviews survivor and advocate Joelle Casteix, author of “The Well-Armored Child: A Parent’s Guide to Preventing Sexual Abuse”. The recent release of the film SPOTLIGHT has helped to revive discussion about the child sex abuse scandals plagued within the Catholic Church. A survivor herself, Casteix has spent the past 14 years as a leading expert and go-to media source for information on the crisis. She is the Western Regional Director the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests.

Kathryn's interviewed thousands of guests including lifestyle experts, celebrities, authors, lawyers, psychiatrists, physicians and dieticians. At Albany Medical College she has trained doctors and medical students to communicate effectively with their patients. She's an actor who can be seen on the Sopranos and Law and Order and even admits to modeling for AARP! She has Masters' Degrees in Social Work and Counseling Psychology and is a graduate of the New School of Radio and Television. Much background for her show comes from traveling the world and raising three boys now in their twenties - a rock star, an actor and a film maker. There's also one ex-husband, one boyfriend, two brothers and an aging mom!
