Aging Parents and HIV Stigma
December 2, 2015
Hosted by Kathryn Zox
Kathryn interviews award-winning author and caregiver advocate Carolyn Brent MBA on her book “The Caregiver’s Companion: Caring for Your Loved One Medically, Financially and Emotionally While Caring for Yourself”. With 13 million U.S. baby boomers caring for elderly parents, thousands of adult caregivers struggle with determining if their parent is fit to remain living alone. To help ease the process, Brent shares 10 signs that can give one better peace of mind when making this all-important decision.
Kathryn also interviews HIV expert Allison R. Webel PhD, author of “Living a Healthy Life with HIV”. When stars like Charlie Sheen and Magic Johnson share their HIV diagnoses with the public, they help to build awareness about a chronic condition that has suffered from stigma for decades. Dr. Webel combines the latest medical advice, ideas from people living with HIV, and proven practices for to help people with HIV explore healthy ways to live the best life possible.
