April Joy Ford
April Joy Ford turns her tragedies into triumph by writing, speaking and teaching on how to overcome trauma and women's advocacy.
After being an Engineer for over 13 years at Intel, she realized that her faith was greater than her fear and walked away to become a Best-Selling Author, Speaker-Radio Host, and Transformational Coach.
Being a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and becoming a widowed single parent at only 32, April’s tragedies gave her the opportunity to hit the reset button on life to discover who she was truly meant to be.
Her best-sellers: “You Are Not Alone- How to Rise Above Life’s Challenges”, “Journeys To Success – Women’s Edition” and “Chase the Challenge and Conquer.” She's been featured in media including her holistic training program “Breakthrough The Barriers-using the 4 Steps". This program is being utilized to teach staff and survivors in group homes on trauma informed care and self-care.
Listeners globally tune in to her live radio show, “You Are Not Alone,” seeking answers and solutions to their situations and setbacks. The show’s focus is to provide tools, tips and techniques holistically to overcome adversity.
Her brand, J.O.Y. started the vision of how we can rise above life’s challenges to discover our true authentic self. Her non-profit, Joy’s G.I.F.T. (Global Illumination Foundation Thrives) empowering survivors from loss or sexual abuse by providing them with wrap around resources and services.
