Patricia welcomes John W. Travis, MD, MPH who founded the first wellness center in the US in 1975 and has continued to expand the scope of wellness for over 30 years. He is the co-author of several books including the Wellness Workbook , now in its third edition, and Wellness for Helping Professionals: Creating Compassionate Cultures. He will discuss how disconnection shows up in our culture through depression, violence, addiction, chronic illness, fundamentalism, and Male Postpartum Abandonment Syndrome.
