Every year, especially as parents or grandparents, we buy Halloween merchandise. Dress-up and decorating can be so much fun! We love to help the little ones picking out the costume and try it on. How many times do kids put on their new costume before the school party or the neighborhood tour? The kids I know do it almost every day, for several weeks. Whether the costumes comes with the warning of CA Prop 65 or not, undisclosed or improperly monitored toxic ingredients will get on children’s hands and end up in their mouths.

Bill Cardoso, Ph.D., is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Creative Electron. A native of Brazil, Bill came to the US in 1998 as a 'guest engineer' at the US Department of Energy's renowned Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab). Nancy Uding is the Grants & Research Manager at Washington Toxics Coalition. With professional experience in hazardous waste management and in waste water engineering, she recently worked in research at Seattle Children's Hospital testing the efficacy of a class for parents of children with special health care needs. Nancy has worked on environmental issues, women's issues, in special needs parenting support, and is a trained organizer in international social justice work. Nancy has a BS in Ecosystems Analysis from Huxley College at Western Washington University, and an MSE in Environmental Engineering from UW. Nancy enjoys spending time with her family and loves to travel.
