Two weeks after I was born, my birth mother sold me to my parents for $500. Then, at the age of about 5 years old, my parents drove me back to my father’s home town in Kentucky, where they proceeded to give false information in order to receive a birth certificate. I have lived with that new identity all of my life. Sadly, around the age of 15, my father had a complete mental breakdown. I spent the next 3 years living with different friends and their families, just trying to graduate from high school. Little did I know that I was technically considered homeless. Once I graduated high school I spent my time at many different jobs, and in and out of community colleges, just trying to make a life for myself. I am a successful entrepreneur, wearing many hats, in RealEstate, TV Production, Political Aide, Event Coordination, Fundraiser and Media Consultant. I earned my Bachelor Degree at the age of 52. Honorable Diane Watson is a former US Representative for California's 33rd congressional district, serving from 2003 until 2011. She is a member of the Democratic Party. The district is located entirely in Los Angeles County and includes much of Central Los Angeles, as well as such wealthy neighborhoods as Los Feliz. A native of Los Angeles, Watson is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, and also holds degrees from California State University, Los Angeles and Claremont Graduate University. Deniece Williams

Ms. Deniece Williams, is an american Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and record producer who achieved success in the 1970's and 1980's. Ms. Williams, whose music has been influenced by Soul and Funk, is known for her hits such as "Free", "Let's Hear It for the Boy", "It's Gonna Take a Miracle", and for her many vocal duets with Johnny Mathis. As her success grew, she found herself on the fast track. One thing led to another and Deniece became a back up vocalist for Stevie Wonder in the early 1970's. Williams moved on to the American Recording Company (ARC) in the early 1980's where she scored the top ten R&B smash hit "Silly": in 1981. The following year, yet another famed producer, Thom Bell, helped Williams score another #1 R&B chart-topper with her remake of The Royalettes' "It's Gonna Take a Miracle", which became a Top 10 pop hit as well, reaching #10.
