As any athlete or sports fan knows, truly inspiring coaches possess something that goes beyond the classic X’s and O’s. They bring an empowering energy to the game that motivates their players to reach their best. Leaders like these create the habits of hard work, discipline, determination, and teamwork that make for not only better players, but better people.

This kind of intangible and inspiring leadership is the focal point of A Coach’s Spirit. Every week we sit down with today’s college coaches to discuss the legends who inspired them, how they lead their players to victory, while instilling the winning attitude and ambition to help them find lifelong success on and off the field. We reveal the immeasurable qualities these leaders look for in new recruits and uncover how lessons learned from the game can be applied to everyday life.
