Episode Description

Survival of the Fittest, Sex for Survival (Part Two) is a three part series to gain insight about how and why people get into the sex industry. It is an attempt to break the barriers of division for families and loved ones. It is also an attempt to create dialogue and understanding to increase healing, reduce stereotypes and decrease judgement. Part Two is about young people that runaway and end up in the sex industry. The first segment presents our guest Ms. Anonymous' story and then we go into the Story of the Day, which is "Why the Boy Ran Away". During the Breakdown, we will take a therapeutic look into the Story of the Day and how the character's experiences shaped his life. It is the host, Victoriously Speaking's vision to help young people understand that running away is dangerous. It is also an attempt to assist parents in understanding why children runaway. In addition, Victoriously Speaking would like to see families heal and reconcile their differences.

Mrs. Nicole Benton is the founder and president of Reconciliation Movement, Inc, which is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2012 to educate the community about the importance of political civic engagement, entrepreneurship and economics, informal and formal education as well as family cohesiveness. It is her vision to uplift communities by breaking the barriers of division to create sustainable change in all communities. There are various workshops and media projects where Mrs. Benton writes, performs and facilitates various topics for self-awareness and motivational inspiration. In addition, as a Licensed Professional Counselor, she has a private practice (NNK 4 L.I.F.E.) where she assists others in seeking and maintaining a purpose driven life. It is Mrs. Benton’s belief that Living Independently for Excellence (L.I.F.E.) is to live free of fear, anger and/or doubt. She lives everyday professionally and creatively assisting others in their path as she walks the path that God gave her as a wife, advocate, counselor, motivational speaker, performer and writer.

Ms. Anonymous


Ms. Anonymous is a young adult that ran away when she was 14 years old to another state because of parental neglect. She gives insight to why she ran away, what happens in the streets as a teenager and how sex became a means of survival for her to be able to eat and keep a roof over her head. She is now a mother and works as a paralegal with a past that still haunts her to this day. Guest Ms. Anonymous

MAJ (RET) LaShone Garth started her career in the military enlisting at the age of 17 years old. She retired from the military and graduated with a BA in Psychology from Georgia State University and a MA in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is a Candidate for her Doctorate in Coaching Psychology at Capella University where she is currently completing her dissertation. LaShone is an accomplished model and actress with credits in TV, theater and movies. She wrote and produced "Movie Wine Down". LaShone has started a self-titled production company, LGarth Productions, LLC. She is an award winning writer and producer and has been coined as an up and coming producer and writer by C-magazine and Spaced Out Magazine.
