Episode Description

An entrepreneur starts a business for any number of reasons. Sometimes they have been laid off and want to try their hand at owning their own business, some have a hobby they turn into products or services they sell, and some see it as freedom to be their own boss. But no matter what the impetus for starting their own company, many make numerous mistakes. Most of these errors can have a material impact on the financial success of the business. American author Norman Ralph Augustine stated, “Regulations grow at the same rate as weeds,” and if you have been in business for any length of time, I am sure you have found this to be true. There are so many things that must be followed from your local city ordinances to state rules, to federal laws. This episode will give you information on some of the top mistakes and how to avoid them so not to be charged penalties for non-compliance. Understanding the mistakes that can be made and how to avoid them will help you be a success!
