Episode Description

Producer/host akaRadioRed’s Cool Conversations with Creatives welcomes two very successful creatives. Novelist Jan Hurst’s autobiographical romantic drama story, His Sunrise My Sunset, inspired the 2019 movie, Sunrise in Heaven starring Corbin Bernsen. A widow, mother, grandmother, and retired executive, Jan built a business career over 30 very eclectic years in multiple business disciplines. She and her husband, Steve, were married 44 years, the first 24 spent following his Air Force career. Comedian and writer Eddie Sarfaty’s acerbic stand-up captures the everyday absurdities of life, blending self-deprecation and sarcasm with a sharp instinct for the ridiculous. Mental: Funny in the Head is a collection of his humorous autobiographical essays. Eddie teaches standup and improv. Join akaRadioRed for The Creative Spark: Bringing Your Life Story to Life.

akaRadioRed

akaRadioRed is an accidental radio and TV creator, producer and host who began her media career in the late 1990s (she will reveal the year in exchange for good dark chocolate). Despite growing up shy (hard to believe) on Long Island, New York, she eventually found her “voice” through a range of expressive outlets: graphic designer, entertainment reporter and photographer, bachelor auction MC, newspaper reporter, author interviewer, standup comic, romantic comedy playwright, watercolor and mixed media artist, marketing writer and editor, and most recently, rock ‘n’ roll and blues ChickDrummer with sassy red boots to match her hair. By day, under a different name, she is the producer and host of 50 enterprise technology thought leadership roundtable series at VoiceAmerica Business since 2011. akaRadioRed is excited to bring Read My Lips Radio: Cool Conversations with Creatives to the VoiceAmerica Empowerment Channel.
