Episode Description

Today I will continue where I left off speaking with my wise Guest, Keith A. Somers, Founder of KASIF, about how and why he founded his organization. We will discuss what the impact of his public speaking and his Foundation has been and what it can continue to become, and the meaning of "identity" for each one of us and how we define ourselves as we go through our lives. Keith has faced and risen above much adversity, and his work is a testament to what can be overcome and accomplished with dedication.

Danielle Delaney

Danielle Delaney is a Certified Crisis Counselor, specialist in addiction and recovery aftercare, rape crisis counselor, and a sober coach and Interventionist. She also specializes in the area of adults molested as children as well as GLBT issues and drug-assisted rape and survivors of domestic violence. She is the President and CEO of an international sober companioning corporation, Danielle Delaney Counseling, Inc., which provides nurses and companions to people who are discharged from inpatient facilities and sober living homes, so that they may have invaluable assistance in beginning their lives again with structure. Danielle maintains a private practice in Hollywood, California and works with crime survivors with the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) for The City of Long Beach and works as a state certified court advocate. She is also a writer and is a contributor to numerous health journals including those for the Minority Health Institute, The Association of Black Cardiologists, and the National Medical Association, and has been filmed for a segment for the television series The Doctors. The County of Los Angeles Office of Protocol has hailed Danielle as a proven asset to the City and County of Los Angeles. Danielle holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA and has earned additional certifications at the Sexual Assault Crisis Agency in Orange County. As a survivor herself, she is uniquely qualified to understand and assist her clients.

Natasha Alexenko

At the age of 19, Natasha Alexenko was raped and robbed at gunpoint in New York City. Due to a backlog of thousands of rape kits, it took nearly 10 years to process her rape kit and identify her attacker. While her kit collected dust on a shelf, the man that raped Natasha was on a nationwide crime-spree. Driven by a need to prevent this ongoing injustice, in 2011 she started Natasha’s Justice Project, a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating the untested sexual assault evidence kits throughout the country. Her story was featured in HBO’s critically acclaimed documentary, Sex Crimes Unit. Natasha is a survivor, an activist, and an educator who is hoping to change the criminal justice system’s response to sexual assault. View Guest page

AJ Benza was one of the most celebrated (and feared) gossip columnists at the New York Daily News in the 1990's. That's pre-TMZ people! Before Harvey, there was AJ! In 1997, Benza got the call that changed his life and ripped him away from the Greenwich Village streets. It was a call from the E! Born in Waukegan, Illinois, Gretchen doesn't call any one place home. She has moved around, Illinois to Germany. While working doing bookings for a radio station in Phoenix, she was set up on a blind date with future husband, Danny Bonaduce, who was working at the local radio station. Todd Bridges


Todd Bridges is a television icon from the 1970's onward. He is particularly notable as the sole survivor of the children of the cast of "Diff'rent Strokes" and for being the first Black actor to appear on Little House on the Prairie, The Waltons, and other huge TV series of the 1970's and 80's. Todd was the only Black teen heartthrob other than Michael Jackson of that era. Todd was also in the recordbreaking and iconic landmark miniseries, "Roots," starring alongside Ben Vereen, LeVar Burton, and other legends. He has numerous tv credits from the 70's to present time.
Todd Bridges is best known for his starring role as "Willis Jackson" on the sitcom Diff'rent Strokes. He suffered the horrors of sexual & physical abuse throughout his childhood. These traumatic experiences led to a troubled personal and public identity. Johnnie Cochran defended Todd Bridges against criminal charges. Mr. Uttamchandani is the Founder & Chairman of Rajiv Uttamchandani Holdings Inc., a conglomerate organization with multiple businesses. He owns and operates H.E.R. Apparel, a landmark fashion line which develops clothing for women and men to promote gender equality. The clothing line uses Hemp as its primary source of fiber and is therefore environmentally friendly and is made through a responsible factory in Shanghai which places first the health and well­being of its employees. Mr. Uttamchandani is also the Director of STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) Education Initiatives at the New York Film Academy – Los Angeles. He has fostered significant collaborations with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Northrop Grumman Corporation, in which he aims to use the development of key scientific projects as an educational tool  View Guest page

Dr. Richard Allen Williams, President-Elect of the National Medical Association and Founder of the Association of Black Cardiologists, is a cum laude honors graduate of Harvard University. He attended the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center where he received the M.D. degree. He later performed a Cardiology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. At present he is Clinical Professor of Medicine at the UCLA School of Medicine (full Professor). He also received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Williams is considered an international expert on hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, obesity, heart failure, and sudden cardiac death.
