Episode Description
This episode will introduce the audience to Moe and to Be The Pilot in Command! This is the essence of better personal and professional leadership. Throughout this episode, listeners will better understand how to take command (of themselves) as well as gaining some tools and tactics to have a positive impact. Moe will introduce PIC (Pilot in Command), why it's so important as well as how it best applies to us. After all, just like a pilot can't just pull over to the nearest cloud, we can't pause our lives. This episode will also introduce a well-used aviation mnemonic, ABCC. In aviation, this stands for Airspeed, Best Place, Checklist and Communication. It also applies to our own personal leadership and Moe will demonstrate how. Other topics introduced will be the CHART method of better communications and how to best ask and answer, How Do You Know What You Know?

Leadership Takeoff is about developing better personal and professional leadership. Since it stands to reason that we can’t be better organizational leaders unless we can best lead ourselves, we will always be looking to provide strategies, tactics and tools to better our own personal leadership. We will also explore better ways to be more effective as a business team member, managers and executives.
Since life never stops and we can’t just pull-over to take a break, we need to be the Pilot in Command, or PIC of our own lives, safely guiding ourselves through the turbulence of life and ultimately making safe and successful landings. We’ll show you how to do it through a variety of means, guests and always with an entertaining component or two.

Moe holds a Bachelor of Arts BA in History from Northeastern Illinois University, a Masters of Business Administration MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management Lake Forest, IL, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from Villanova University Philadelphia, PA and is a professional general aviation pilot.
Moe has served in a number of senior management and consulting roles for multi-national, multi-billion dollar enterprises as well as mid-range and entrepreneurial ventures. Moe continues to lead and transform management and corporate cultural functions through his innovation initiatives. These initiatives have resulted in multi-million dollar cost reductions, creating and building of profit centers and the start of corporate creativity workshops.
