Episode Description

Webster defines stand-down as, “A relaxation of status of a military unit or force from an alert or operational procedure.” Our military is trained to eat, sleep, and breathe readiness. They are on their guard 24/7 for threats to their mission and the country they serve. In this era, they are volunteers. In return, our government is supposed to take care of our wounded and retired military. I think it’s the least they can do for someone who put their life on the line for me. Unfortunately, many come back from battle and are finding that they’re not getting the care and service that they have been promised. We should never have a homeless veteran, but we do, and once a year veterans organizations all over the world hold an event to honor, tend to, and assist then on their way to a better life. Please join in and find out about these incredible events. I have attended many in San Diego and now it is available in North County. TTYT

Dr. Sarah M. Young (DrRed)

Internationally recognized print and broadcast journalist, DrRed, has performed in radio and television since she was seven years old. Her last program, the Mind, Body, and Spirit show, featured practitioners such as Deepak Chopra, and others in allopathic and Ayurvedic medicine. With her two doctorates, many certificates in crystal healing, Reiki, Hypnotherapy and such, she’s been called the fusion of Mr. Spock and James Van Prague.

Having survived blindness, paralysis, 30-plus surgeries, brain cancer in 1988, and losing 150 pounds, she knows the value of humor to heal. After recovering from just about everything, she now shares her accomplishments with the world through her nonprofit foundation for veterans and other organizations. She is founder of The So Brave Foundation for veterans, to which the show is dedicated.

DrRed is on a mission to share all the healing modalities that helped her get back on her feet and full of life again. If she can do it, you can do it, and have fun while you're at it. For one hour, rest your body, open your mind and get in the spirit. A session with DrRed is an adventure.

Now recovered from what was deemed terminal cancer, Dr Red is here to encourage you to be healed, healthy and whole, while learning to laugh and love life again.
